I am a Shreveport-based educator, trainer, designer, and all-around creative thinker with over 20 years of combined professional and teaching experience in the field of design and other forms of digital media. I am currently an Associate Professor within the LSUS Digital Arts Program where I teach a number of courses to include website design/development, interactive design, and design thinking. I am also the Education Chair and a past president of the American Advertising Federation (AAF) of Shreveport-Bossier where I have been a member for more than a decade.
In my career, I have received national recognition and several national awards, as well as multiple ADDY advertising awards, for my designs. I also hold multiple industry-level Adobe and other certifications. I was selected as the AAF District 10 Outstanding Educator of the Year from amongst faculty members throughout Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. I currently serve on the AAF’s National Education Executive Committee.
I hold a Master of Fine Arts degree in graphic design from Louisiana Tech University, master’s degrees in both education and graphic design from Northwestern State University, a bachelor’s degree in graphic design from LSUS, and, most recently, attended the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford University.
